I found this section of the video particularly interesting because I have always loved the Star Wars movies and all of its several TV series. I had never realized that Star Wars matches up to older movies and is particularly close to Flash Gordon. Star Wars has always seemed so unique to me as it is so different from most things such as the light sabers and alien species traveling throughout the galaxy. The video really shows me how everything today has been turned into a remix and there are many different bits and pieces taken from different movies, books, and other media. Star Wars is a very interesting example of this because it has so many small references and remixes. I disagree with how he says some stuff is remixes because it does not seem as though it is supposed to be referencing anything. The example of C3PO being a remix of the tin man to me does not seem as a remix as C3PO seems to be a completely different entity.
Question
Is everything referred to as a remix just because it has relation to another thing already created? Is something not original if it has already been created?
